Once the expert panel has selected the finalists, the Africa AI Future Awards hand part of the decision to you. The public vote is how supporters, colleagues, customers and communities show who they believe in. Here is how it works.

Step 1: Find your nominee

Open the Nominees page from the menu. You can browse by award group and category, or type a name into the search box to jump straight to the person or organisation you want to support. Each nominee has their own profile page with their photo, category and a short description of their work.

Step 2: Choose a vote bundle

Votes are cast in bundles. Pick the bundle that suits you: a smaller bundle for a quick show of support, or a larger one if you want to make a bigger difference for your champion. The votes in your bundle go to the nominee you selected.

There is no limit on how many times you can vote. You can come back during the voting period and support the same nominee again, or back several nominees in different categories.

Step 3: Check out securely

Enter your details and complete the payment on the secure checkout page. Once the payment is confirmed, your votes are added to the nominee's total and you will see a confirmation on screen.

If something goes wrong

  • Payment did not go through? Check your payment details and try again, or try another payment method.
  • Not sure your votes counted? Look for the confirmation page after payment. If you still have questions, contact us using the details on the Contact page and include the time of your payment.

Step 4: Share and rally support

Votes add up fastest when supporters spread the word. Every nominee profile has share buttons for WhatsApp, X, Facebook and LinkedIn, and many nominees also share a ready-made poster. A short personal message works best. Tell people why you are backing this nominee, then share the link to their profile.

Every vote counts, and every share brings in more voters.

Tips for nominees and their teams

  1. Share your profile early. The first days of voting set the tone.
  2. Use your own channels. Your customers, users and community already know your work.
  3. Keep it personal. Explain what the recognition would mean to you and your team.
  4. Thank your supporters. Gratitude keeps people engaged until voting closes.
