From intelligent traffic management and waste collection optimization to AI-powered public lighting, water systems, and emergency response — this category honors the cities and municipalities building Africa's intelligent urban future. The project must demonstrate integration with real city infrastructure and tangible improvement in the quality of urban life

Best Public Sector AI Deployment

This award recognizes an organization within the broader public sector — beyond central government — that has successfully deployed AI to transform how it operates or delivers services. This includes public hospitals, public universities, state-owned enterprises, national utilities, revenue authorities, and public broadcasters. The winning deployment will show clear before-and-after impact: faster services, lower costs, reduced errors, or expanded reach. Ambition alone does not win here — execution does.

Best Digital Government AI Program

This award recognizes a comprehensive, multi-service digital government program that has placed AI at the center of how citizens access and experience public services.
