Prof. Laban Ayiro

Prof. Laban Peter Ayiro is a visionary academic leader and the current Vice-Chancellor of Daystar University. A Professor of Research Methods and Statistics, he has spent over 40 years transforming Kenya’s educational landscape. Prof. Ayiro is being nominated for his commitment to innovation-led education, digital transformation, and fostering a "servant-leadership" culture. Notably, he has championed the integration of ICT in teaching (pedagogy) and spearheaded the Learning and Design Lab, positioning Daystar University as a hub for digital excellence and community-focused innovation.
