About Anthony Mwangi
Anthony Mwangi is a Kenyan finance, accounting, and public sector administration expert serving as the Deputy Director, Finance & Administration at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
He is responsible for overseeing finance, accounts, budgeting, planning, human resource administration, ICT coordination, and institutional operations within KISE. His role supports the institute’s mandate of delivering inclusive education, special needs training, research, and assessment services across Kenya.
Mwangi has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, having worked in both public and institutional settings, and has been actively involved in policy development, financial management systems, and education sector budgeting processes.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management (Mount Kenya University) and a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Management (KCA University), and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K).
Within KISE, he is part of the senior management team that supports institutional governance, financial accountability, and strategic planning for special needs education programs in Kenya.
