Tshwane University of Technology AI Hub

Tshwane University of Technology acquired a humanoid robot in February 2025, adding to its AI platforms that include a universal robot and a quadruped robot dog, to enhance AI training, research, and learning. The TUT AI Hub is studying applications in manufacturing, livestock monitoring, and medical assistance, with a focus on how biped robots can benefit various industries. This initiative positions TUT as a leader in robotics education and research in South Africa.
