An AI-powered platform that translates Kenya's early childhood curriculum into 19 indigenous languages, making education accessible to learners in their mother tongue.
M-Lugha addresses a fundamental barrier to learning: language. By leveraging AI to translate the PP1 and PP2 curriculum into 19 local languages, it ensures children who don't speak English or Swahili at home can still access quality education. The content is fully aligned with Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and approved by the KICD. The app works offline, solving connectivity issues in remote areas, and includes an AI-powered translation feature for teachers. Its development was accelerated through the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship.
