Chilufya Theresa Mulenga

Chilufya Theresa Mulenga is a technology and digital policy professional with over nine years of experience working at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), data governance, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Her work focuses on advancing ethical, inclusive, and responsible approaches to emerging technologies across Africa. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Women in Data Science and AI Zambia, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls in data science and ethical AI. Through the organization, she leads initiatives in research, capacity building, digital skills development, and innovation, creating pathways for greater participation of women in Africa’s data and AI ecosystems.

Chilufya has contributed to various programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening digital resilience, promoting inclusive data governance, and supporting the growth of local talent in emerging technologies.
