The Botswana National Commission for UNESCO coordinates multi-stakeholder consultations and policy assessments to align national technology adoption with international ethical standards. In May 2025, the commission organized and facilitated the validation workshop for Botswana's Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Methodology report in Gaborone, establishing baseline framework priorities for human-rights-based, inclusive, and transparent AI governance across the country.
