AI Legal Assistant Pilot (Frontier Tech Hub)

This pilot (September 2024 -- September 2025) is developing an AI‑powered legal assistant trained on Malawian case law and statutes. It is designed to quickly retrieve legal precedents and statutes, assist the Legal Aid Bureau and judiciary in case preparation, and provide accurate information in local languages like Chichewa. The tool aims to bridge a critical resource gap in a country where fewer than 800 lawyers serve 22 million people.
